Throwback Thursday: Welcome Home, Sammy

Exactly 4 years ago to this day, I brought this little creature home. I zipped her up in my jacket (that's how small she was back then) and made my way back home in the snow to our tiny 5 floor walk-up in Lower East Side. I wouldn't recommend getting a dog "on a whim", but that's exactly what we did. To this day, it's still one of the best decisions in my life.

4 years later, Sammy no longer fits in my coat. You can hardly even pick her up anymore without straining your back. Thankfully, some things haven't changed. She's perpetually hungry, naps all day long and gassier than ever. What's not to love? Sammy's not unlike that British girl who sleeps 22 hours a day and craves unhealthy foods

From New York to London, Sammy has been an amazing constant in our lives. For the weary traveler, nothing feels as good as coming home to someone or something that showers you with long as you feed her.
